Journal Prompt: Exploring Personal Freedom in your Wellness Journey

What does freedom mean to you in terms of your mental health and wellness?

Think about a time when you felt trapped or confined in your thoughts or emotions. How did that impact your overall well-being? Now consider what freedom would look like in that situation. How would it feel to release those feelings and thoughts?  What would be different for you if you had your freedom from/with your thoughts and feelings?

Another example might be feeling trapped in a situation. You may have felt trapped financially, worrying about how to make ends meet or feeling stuck in a job you dislike but can't leave due to financial obligations. Consider what freedom would look like in this situation. How would it feel to have financial stability and the ability to pursue your passions and interests without the burden of financial stress?

Reflect on the ways in which you can create more freedom in your life for your mental health and wellness, specifically around your finances. What changes can you make to your spending habits, your career path, or your approach to money that will allow you to feel more free and at ease financially? Obviously not everything can be worked out in a day, but how does the concept of freedom tie into the concept of patience for you?

Remember, freedom means something different to everyone. Take the time to define what freedom looks like for you, especially in relation to your financial situation, and how you can incorporate more of it into your life.
